    Default a few $50NL hands...

Basically, playing in SnGs/MTTs ended up really hurting my ring game... changed me from a winning ring player to a slightly loseing ring player.

I've been working on fixing the leaks I picked up ( SnG/MTT play is soooo diffrent) and to help out i'm posting some hands from today/yesterday....

I'm not includeing reads because I'm more intrested in what is the correct play before reads... I can adjust my play for reads, I just want to know if I'm playing correctly before reads.

I didnt think that his flop mini raise showed a lot of strength... I felt that he had a pair, and that aggression would shut him down, not get more money into the pot. I figure that I want someone that probally has 3 outs betting into me.

    Standard?
    Bad?

I wanted to keep the pot small, and felt that the turn raise was a "where am I" raise, not a "lets get it all in" raise...

His river bet didnt make a lot of sense to me... I had wasnt sure where I was at after he bet that much.

I ended up calling but almost folded...

    Bad Play?
    Correct play?

    1. Reraise preflop. Plays totally differently. As played id probably call down to split. I dont think he has KK but he may have AA.
    2. Call turn and block the river. If ive seen opp overplay a tp hand (i.e called with AJ or soemthing dumb and caugh a pair) id move all in here on the turn. I agree it looks more like a donk raise than a monster raise. Bear in mind im a big station though
Catch two pair on the river with Ax trash?

Hand 1: You got the perfect flop for you hand, and from there played it excellent. You never gave him any information about the strength of your hand, while you can probably put him on KQ/KJ/QQ type hand. As he's value betting the river, you can c/r for an extra $15.

However, like Miffed said, if you reraise preflop, you are golden on almost any flop. You won't get as much action if an A hits (unless he overplays AQ) but you should be able to take down most pots with a reasonable follow up bet.

Considering that you shouldn't "always play a hand the same way", I thought it was fine.

Hand 2: Bet much more preflop, like $2.50-$3. Considering you'll be making big bets out of position the entire hand. Assuming he calls, bet about $5 on flop, and about 2/3 pot on turn (push over any raise). That way at least it would be a bad beat when he hits his A/2 pair from chasing his flush.

While I don't do it much myself, this is a hand where a blocking bet would really help out. If you fire about a $10 bet, it looks like you have AK/AQ that lucked out. Unless he's crazy, he's got you smoked with a reraise on the river.

As played, I'd fold without a read because the only hand you beat is a busted club draw (or something like 44/55).

Hand 1 I would re-raise pre-flop because there are so many players left to act behind you.

Otherwise I play both the same (including crying before calling in hand 2). Not saying it's right, just what I'd do.

Hand 2 I don't get why people are afraid of {A, trash}. Does someone with middle pair A kicker min-raise turn?

AJ of clubs looks likely on hand 2, you can probably fold that river if you haven't seen him run complex bluff lines before
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

    Hand 1:
lentes shows [ 2c, 2d ] two pairs, fours and twos.
DunHooked shows [ Kh, Ac ] two pairs, kings and fours.
DunHooked wins $63.75 from the main pot with two pairs, kings and fours.

    Hand 2:
russ0618 shows [ Kh, As ] a pair of aces.
DunHooked doesn't show [ Kd, Ks ] a pair of kings.
russ0618 wins $62 from the main pot with a pair of aces.
