Default flopped flush with 76, (line check).

Not quite sure what I was thinking except OMG Flush! I was scared of the pair on the board on the turn, perhaps I shouldve folded to the RR. If it hadnt pair I might have shoved to his rr. I had the villain tagged as a good player, but couldnt bring myself to lay this down. Any suggestions?

    Villain was 30/5.

Fold to the turn minraise. Your hand isn't improving and villain is screaming that his is better. Believe him.

the turn raise is really scary. youve already represented a ton of strength and he comes out raising you on the turn. he has me convinced for an ace high flush or fh

i fold pf though. in position limping is ok

Since you have villain tagged as a good player you should find a fold to the turn min-raise. He's obviously not worried about the flush.

His line screams flush (to me), which you have got to assume is above yours.

I just cant see him limping 88 on the button, with two callers. If you say he is good he surely would be trying to isolate with 88.

I agree, based on his stats and his turn min. RR (min rr usually spells a big hand) I'm out.

You don't always have to make a psb.

Absolutly, i agree. This is the perfect situation where your really need to control the size of the pot. This needs to be the priority throughout the hand.

What a good way to play this, then? I usually try and lead when I flop something good in Pot-limit, as it is necessary to build a pot..

What size turn-bet would be best? I guess I was thinking the guy had a higher diamond, and want to keep him from drawing cheaply, so I bet pot. Would 2/3rds be better? Or should I just have checked seeing that the board paired? I guess the real question is what to do on the turn.

Thanks for the star man, i will add it to the collection. lol.

I think you can gain the same information from a 1/2 pot bet. Any lower and his raise will be masked by steals etc from him raising for other reasons (not just for value).

2/3 and above you are still building the pot very quickly.

With the turn, and your low flush, you are aiming to get to showdown with out the all-in. If you manage to do this you have succeeded in my books.
