Flopped set.

Anyone have thoughts as to the best way to play a situation like this? After the hand, I decided I didn't really like how I played it and would've preferred reraising on the flop to induce an all-in reraise, but I was afraid that this may also cause him to suspect a set and slow down with two pair, so I ended up just calling. What does everyone else think?

With bottom set I would never voluntarily end the raise war. I'd re-raise him to death until he called or ran out of money. He bet and re-raised you on the flop; he's probably willing to put all his money in at that point.

Possibly, but given that he only reraised the minimum, I was considering the fact that he may've been reraising for information, and I wanted to give him the wrong information.

Reraise the flop. And not just 4 again.

With a completely harmless flop, I don't really see a big problem with playing a set a little slower than usual.

A little slower maybe, but there's no reason to start giving cards away. I'd re-raise him a nudge more, maybe 8, see what he does. You don't have to shove all in but you need to keep getting money in the pot, and leave him enough rope to hang himself.
