I flopped boss set here, and check-called (figuring someone would bet, I wanted as many people in the pot at this point as possible). Should I have reraised pf as well as flop? Or do I just have to pay this off? Should I have been more worried about KT on the flop?

(sorry about lack of formatting, there aren't any converters for B2B skins)

Looks like this guy wanted to go all the way with it regardless, so you're probably going broke yea.

I wouldn't slow-play the flop though, but he was probably going to chase anyway in which case you would have been allin on the turn and not hit the FH.

    reraise preflop

I think everyones forgetting this one. Since you're in early position and calling a small raise everyone behind you with drawing hands like JQ are compelled to call with pot odds.

Think of the reasons why you slowplay, you want you ops to make a second best hand that they would be willing to go broke with (TPTK etc.) without them getting a hand better than yours.

What card could come on the turn that would give you more action then on the flop?

Also AJ/AQ/QJ even J9 are hands people like to take into raised pots, all these hands are either 1 or 2 cards off a straight.

I'd reraise pre flop and on the flop, the earlier you build a pot the easyer it is to stack someone later. Next time you get a high PP (or a set) think "I'm going to aggressively stack someone or win a tiny pot". You win less mediun sized pots, but you lose less, and win more, huge pots.

This is the key of the whole hand.

    ntd88888 Call (1,65)
    travoltaJ Fold
    reroby Call (1,40)
    __gamen__ Call (1,40)

By not raising (even min raising) you are inviting 2 more people to bust your hand. A group of nutbusters will bust nuts much more often than 1. Raise and isolate vs original raiser. Yes you might win less vs 1 opponent but you will lose a lot less times vs 1 opponent.

Winning less is better than lossing more IMO.

Well, I got aggressive on the turn, thinking that he'd be holding a weak ace, and that the A would be my money card.
