I think you played it fine. When you hit these kinds of hands you really can't expect to win a monster pot. Only hand that pays you off here is 88 and AA or rivered flush. Any other hands instafold to a raise. I dunno. Push river? If he has 88, AA, or flush, he's not folding to a push. If he's calling $15 more he's calling a push. Either way I think you got the max out of him. NH.

PS: Do you always raise 8xBB preflop? Seems a bit excessive.

yeah, after reading the hh away from the hand. I don't think I could have played it any differently.... So it was actually a silly post...

8x BB ... i was raising consistantly 6x-8x all night long....

    6x usually got 2-4 callers
    8x usually got 1-2 callers

So yeah, I stay consistant... this table was very loose.

Push the river and make it look like you're trying to buy the pot

You're probably right, pushing would have been a better play, but i think he was bluffing the whole time,.... so he wouldn't call any raise. but you are correct the better play is push the river.

I say well played, but push the river, hes not gona call a raise, but he might think you are trying to buy the pot and call you if you push, small chance put big payoff if it works.

Don't do that. You just gave away some vital betting info with that show. Take a screen capture and show it to your mother if you must show someone.
