My line was close to yours, just pricier and that made it more difficult on the river. I bet 3/4 on the flop to make it hard for flush draws to come along, and then 2/3 on the turn for the same reason.
Am I overvaluing the lack of information that keeping my preflop raises consistent puts out? I don't think I deviate from my PFR amount much at all when I get a good value for a given table. Same kind of deal with my c-bets, although they do vary from 2/3 to near full pots. I bet the same amount when I hit a strong hand as well. Somehow leaving my table standard (for this table) of $4 to a $3 PFR seems wrong somehow.
Lowering my PFR to $3 and taking the aggressive side of FNord's line, the pot would have cost me less:
$3 PFR bet ($6.50)
$4 flop bet ($14.50)
$8 turn bet ($30.50)
$8 river bet ($46.50 with a call)
So it would have only cost me $23 not $41.
