Aside from blasting him for playing KJ from the BB, he asked for tips to play the hand.
1. Bet right out on the flop, K high rainbow flop is best you can get with your hand- check calling is super weak on that flop. So either bet out 1/2 - 3/4 pot on that flop. Alternatively, if you check, raise villian's flop bet with a check raise. That will either win you the hand outright or if he's got the joint, he will tell you.
2. Check calling all the way was weak, did I mention that? You are giving him a chance to either value bet you to death thinking he has the best hand or he could suck out on you.
3. Based upon your "read" you should HATE check calling. If you had the opposite read of a lose aggressive opponent who raised lots of pots, check calling TP all the way down may not be a bad idea because based on your read you rate to have the best hand and he is doing the betting for you. Here, you're "read" had you dominated all the way and you check called anyway - HUGE mistake.
4. Finally, why did you suddenly wake up and lead out on the river? You check called all the way to that point. That $3 bet is asking for trouble. What do you do if he comes over the top of you AI? The only time you want to take that line is when you have a very strong hand or a lock and are afraid of him checking behind. But with KJ on that board, that river bet is not a good bet the way the hand played out to that point and given your "read".
