Default forming ranged and using ISF theorem

    Hey all
i have been interested in the stratagy posts on the website to try and improve my winrate. i see often when you discuss a hand you use the poker tracker information on a player to help you get an idea of what that players range is. could someone explain what the numbers mean when you say a player is for example

    20/10

is this reffering to how often they put money in the pot and their preflop raising percentage?
What figures correspond to a lagg, tagg, nit ect?

Also i am not sure my sotware is working correctly, the figures for my account seem wrong based on the profits it displays, how can i check the settings are correct so it is uploading data correctly?

    cheers!

    20/10:

    20 VPIP = plays 20% of hands
10 PFR = Raises 10% of hands preflop

This is used to form players ranges preflop, given a limp, or a raise.

A TAG would be something like 13/10, 14/10. And a more LAGGY player would have something like 18/15+.

Limping preflop is generally very bad, so a player with 40/10 etc would be considered a fish. You want to have VPIP and PFR very close, simply because limping is very bad, but sometimes you have to flat (to setmine, take advantage of position etc)

If u follow a simple handchart you should be able to play 13/10 and profitable poker at lower stakes within a very short time =)

Gus Hanson plays 70/15 or something.. but yeah, the bigger the space between VPIP and PFR, the fishier.
