i almost said fuck it but figured he has AA or KK here most of the time, occasionally AK and maybe <5% something else like AJ QQ

btw coming into to this i just had a very similar laydown and AA cracked by KK pf allin so atleast im not tilting off money after that on a hand like this

I think he gave away his hand in chat...if it was Jamie Gold talking you should call...owise I like the fold.

I was in a very similar situation yesterday except it was 50NL 6 max on FT. UTG pot raises, I call, blinds fold. Flop is A-K-rag, villian opens, I raise, he pushes. I ended up calling, he flipped AK and we fed the rake. So I'm curious about the same basic question - did I do the right thing, and is it still the right thing to do in a full ring game? To me, his lead-out bet there does not look like AA or KK, but maybe he's doing that on purpose because he figures you might have hit AK-AQ and are willing to gamble.

BTW, it is funny to see your stack size drop by 3 big blinds even though you split the pot. Now that's what I call the online poker industry in action.

I would have called on the flop when he bets out, that will induce another bet on the turn and if u think he's strong u can just call him down.

With that said, its not a bad fold, you're not commited to the pot. I wouldn't put him on a set (AA or KK or 44) though, there's no draw on the board(cept a gut shot straight). I think he has AQ-AJ-AT and he might just want to push you out of the pot thinking u have an ace with a lower kicker. I'd called if I was playing. Guess you weren't gutsy enough to call and he won the pot with aggression.

he didnt have aj or a10 here. maybe aq but i doubt it.
most of the time im losing my stack if i call that. its not that i dont have the balls to call... i can lay it down when im beat.

you wouldn't play a set like this if you want the most money out of the pot, I would at least let you pay to see the turn before pushing you all-in. Try to imagine if your the villain and you have a set against yourself, how would you play this hand to get the most money out of this pot? I woulda done the following:

#1- bet/call, turn comes blank or any kind of a draw push u all in
#2-C/R, raise about the size of the pot, and then C/R C/C if there's no draw

I seriously doubt he has a set

    your not playing against yourself.
ive seen lots of fish play sets this way.

i think your problem is you cant lay a hand down.

i gurantee im beat here most of the time.

im not even sure why i posted this i already knew it was the right fold.
