I wouldn't even reraise on the flop. Top pair with a jack kicker is an incredibly marginal hand to get involved in a pot with when a limper is showing strength.
I mean, what limping hands which are helped by this flop can you beat here? You're basically hoping your opponent is a fish and is playing a horribly weak hand like Q-10 or that he has a straight draw, rather than something more likely, such as 5-5, 6-6, or 5-6 suited. You're either slightly ahead in this hand, or practically drawing dead. I'd call on the flop, and consider either check-calling or check-folding on the turn.
I don't think you were bluffed on the river. It seems clear your opponent had at least something on the flop, and after you show weakness on the turn and river, why would he even feel the need to bluff out a better hand? He probably decided he was ahead and made a value bet on the river.
For what it's worth, your opponent did play this hand very strangely, and after his turn check, I'm not even really sure what he had. In those types of situations, I just fold and move on to the next hand rather than risk money on a total guess.
