I take notes on just about any player - good or bad. I definitely note strong, tricky players, they are important to know. It's also good to know which players give their money away. But to Fnord's point, those players have a limited life.
I have a very busy day at work today, but I'll give some thought to the database, maybe we have players post their notes as Fnord states, and we would have the choice to incorporate those notes or not.
The solution we were contemplating was automating the process to a single database, perhaps a web-based PHP appliation to upload your notes and consolidate those to the database.... but maybe that isn't necessary.
