    River: Qs

    UTG shows his busted AcKh

I would like to say I had a solid read on my Opp and knew he was on AK the whole time. I would like to say that but I can't. All I can really say is that I had a gut feel and took it all the way. PF Opp is reraising from UTG which puts him on high PP or AK (and probably not AQ). I don’t do this often (I think I may have done it once before) but this time it just felt right. I think one begins to develop good instincts, initially, by going with a gut feel and having it turn out to be correct. Here I am basically betting that he doesn’t have a high PP. His bet on the flop says nothing about PP v.s. high unpaired but his bet on the turn (not being higher than his flop bet) suggests an unmade hand. SB was obviously on a draw that missed, likely a flush draw.

Comments? If *you* continue on any street do you act differently than just calling?
    Stakes: Playing $0.10/$0.25 NL

Do you want the flush draw still in there?
Don't you want to be sure about the AK? not AA - TT?
Granted his flop reraise was a bit weak - high pockets I'm raising to pot there if I have an overpair to charge the pretty obvious flush draw.
I understand that you want the bluff on the river, and you may not want to tip him off that you have a pair and suspect he does not - I have made almost this exact same play with a pair of 4s on a raggy board and weak betting till an overbluff allin on the river by AK but no real draws were present, and no high card like Q ever showed it's face.

Glad it worked out for you - one of the benefits of calling raises with SCs if you have a good read on opponents holdings.
