i feel like mp1 must have somesort of strong hand here, unless he is a donk, because he cold called your raise w/ utg still able to reraise behind him. i'd probably bet pot and hope to get a call.

AFTER SEEING EDIT: push of course

fold unless you have good reason to suspect UTG would do this without the flush.

In pots like this, people have a real hard time not betting their flushes as first to act.

oh metagame...i get it. by acting so weak tight you can just camp out until you hit a royal flush...and then the villan will think you are such a pussy that he will have no problem pushing all in, only to be devastated when you flip over the stone cold nuts. brilliant!!!

Raise more on flop, you're giving him odds to call with FD.

bet and 3 bet all in.
otherwise c/r all in if you think theres a flush behind which will bet (which looks likely)

So no-one puts either UTG or MP1 on either a pair of Jacks or Twos given the flopp action?

Result was UTG had a pair of 2's and MP1 mucked.

I called the push but thinking back over the hand, with both calling the raise it makes sense that a flush draw, or lesser sets come along but I'm not sure about 62, J6 or J2.

When the flush card hits everyone checks behind so unless UTG hit his flush and was expecting me to raise, everyone was scared of that card with the three check which lends more credence to everyone perhaps being on a set.

When the final 2 hits to pair the board, UTG pushes so he is no longer afraid of the flush and I think this is where I should have thought more. Yeah I have a boat but if he had a set of Jacks on the flop then I'm beat, if he had a set of 2's on the flop I'm beat. The only thing I beat here is a flush and given the play to then I don't think he has it.

Is this a correct analysis even knowing the result, and given that thought process would a call still be the right thing to the push, given MP1 is still to act and a similar thought process can be applied to his hand?
