    Default Home game hand

4 handed, me my borther and a very good player (all very good), and one rookie really shitty. blinds 5c/10c buy in $10

Max (my brother) is in the SB, I'm BB. Very good player folds rookie raises 40c, Max calls I fold.

    Flop comes 3d3c6d

Max checks, Rookie bets 45c, Max calls

    turn: 2c
Max checks, Rookie bets $1, Max calls

    river: 8s

    Max bets $2.50

    what does max have?

2 cards, not enough information given.

He better have the nuts, since rookies call too much.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

You're missing out on too much value.

I hyperbolize. What I meant is he better have the winning hand.

He better have what figures to be a winning hand and probably has an easy river decision if raised.

By the way I'm still the worst limit player on earth. I lost 2K playing $5-$10 on Stars. This thread hijack brought to you by Pwned. I'm very embarrased. I will retreat to my cave now.

Rookies also bluff too much and think AK wins when it is still A high...

Rookie has been betting so he could be bluffing with nothing.... or he could have the nuts.....or he could have anything in between since we dont actually know anything about him.

Max may think he can outplay rookie and may want to be in pots with him with a very wide range.

Only in the last 2 months has it really hit me how different Limit and No Limit are. ...and it's not the math vs psychology thing...

No one has answered the question. Max is Tagg. just put him on two cards, your best guess.

Our info consists of A) your bro is a good player and B) opponent is a bad player

Not knowing what makes them good or what makes them bad (e.g. how they play) makes hand speculation silly.
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

A3s if villain will pay off no matter how dangerous the board is.
AA,KK,QQ,JJ - If villain bluffs too much and overvalues overcards.

Can you at least tell us what it is that the bad player does to make him bad?

Calls too much, Bluffs too much? Plays to the river with overcards etc etc

The rook Bets with draws, sometimes hard. He makes his hands really obvious by his turn and river play. Overvalues hands a bit.
