How about this play?

I had extensive reads on this guy. checks the flop with trips. TAG very aggressive. will make continuation bets. So I figured even if he had a J I had 7 outs and if I was lucky 10.

I think if you're gonna call that bet when you miss the turn, you're better off just pushing the flop.

As played I think you're behind to a pocket pair and I'd fold to that flop bet.

Edit: Why no continuation bet on the flop?

Wait I called a dollar preflop.. hmm... My guess would be AQ or a PP

Now that I think of it some more, I probably lost this hand, nice play.

LOL No way! you did have AQ, i really think i was tilting this hand because you may have done the same thing with a J. I guess i made a good read.... does anyone think this is a good play?

It was a great read, but risky because you could only beat a bluff. Unless I was a really good player and switched my styles around, which I'm not, your read of checking trips and making continuation bets was right on. Although I'm getting better about mixing up my play now.

calling all-in with ace high is typically not a good play.

at 5 nl it may be, but i'm doubting it even there

I push the flop. Its unlikely he has the jack and he'll be scared you have it more then anything else. You can get a lot of possible holdings to fold here if your aggro about it.
