Greedo, when you limped those two high pockets the only thing that made it profitable was a raise behind you. It's very rare that you can be sure a raise will come behind you. I could imagine sitting with a very aggressive maniac and limping AA or KK to trap, but it could easily backfire if that maniac just folds and then three other people limp.
The thing about a maniac is that you really don't need to trap them. Just raise your hand and they'll pay you anyway if they call and you act weak postflop.
There is only one case where I might limp the high pockets, and that's when the entire table is VERY aggressive. Then you can be almost certain some kind of raise will allow you reraise which you MUST do to isolate.
