Yes, I think maybe so. You've still just got a pair of jacks... it looks to me like he could have a set or pocket queens.

I think you needed to re-raise again for information on the flop while it's still cheap. You want to elevate your representation of strength to find out if you're still ahead. If your hand isn't strong enough to slow play, then it's usually a good idea to play it fast. I know it sounds obvious, but a lot of people miss that. When you decided to call, it was a mistake. Your information was still incomplete.

You'll know it's wrong when you still feel you're ahead, but you allow your opponent to take control of the hand. Never relinquish control until you can confidently feel you're behind. It makes it much easier to fold on later streets with a strong dog.

4th and 5th street is no place to be thinking "I hope my pair of jacks with ace kicker holds up."
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

I did raise on the flop, and he just called (so i cant re-raise), and bet into me on the turn..

Ahh I see. I read it wrong. My bad. In that case I fold the turn cold without a read. Seems like two pair or a set protecting itself from a draw.

Yeah if he's calling a raise with KJ on that flop, you'll get his money eventually - fold on turn bet.
