second hand I don't have HH for, but basically a straight is on the board, but so are 4 spades, the 4th hitting on the river. I have the Q of spades. Pot is $20, I have $35 left, villian is big stack of $125. Villian acts first and bets $10. What do you do?

Hand #1 I felt like my preflop re-raise isolated him to PPs JJ and below (QQ+ I would think would re-raise) or AK/AQ. Flop looks great for me, so I raise pot, then the next card looks good for me too, and I feel like I'm tangling with something like 99 or 1010, or a non-believer AK.

Hand #2 I wasn't sure if I should simply call or if I should re-raise.

Hand 3 I worried they had a set, A7, or 6 7, seemed like 6 7 or a set was the most likely. I'd think they'd play the set slower, and the 2p fast. Very confused. Would they really limp with 77?

hand 1 is tricky. I hate that turn, alows him for a flush draw and over pair. I think I would slow down cause the only people calling you at that limit are Ax hearts, any Ah or Kh, and JJ, QQ, KK, AA. I think I might take a check on turn and hope I spike a J, then call a resonable bet, folding to something tooo big.

hand 2: call or fold, depends on reads. I would not raise cause anything that calls you has you beat.

hand 3: could be a set, I don't know but I am not risking my stack here for just 2 pair without any reads. now if he has gone all in before and you know that is how he plays AK then maybe. but it smells like a set or maybe 67, could even be AA. without reads it is hard to tell and I would prob fold

1. looks good without strong reads that his line often has you beat. without any reads, i do not check behind on turn; too many weak draws (albeit, draws that beat you when hit, excluding the jack of hearts). given stack and pot sizes and his line, i dont see how you can not pay off a 5, 4, or poorly played bigger pair.

2. raise only if you have a strong read that you have him beat. maybe call, maybe fold; can't say without more info.

3. his turn play gives me the impression it's not a set or the nuts.

1. Re-raise to $5 or $6 pre-flop. Rest is fine.

2. Need to see how the action went earlier... how did the $20 get in the pot? Sorry, too tough to comment without the HH.

3. C/R more, to $3 is good. Call flop 3-bet, call turn push, mainly because he's a shorty and probably sucks.

I have thrown away way too muh money to short stacks who I think suck cause they are short. even a short stack can get a hand.

I hear what you're saying, but even giving villain a really narrow range, you're still getting the pot odds to call:

Throw in a strangely played TPGK and it's even easier.

Hand 1 - I think you played fine.

Hand 2- Either call or fold. I would never raise in this spot. It all comes down to the players. Do you think this a value bet or a blocking bet? Probably I´d call.

Hand 3- If you decided to play A6o from the SB then you have to pay him off. If you are going to fold this hand in this board, better to fold it before. That being said, I think you´re beaten here.

Villian calls and flips over 65c... who is playing 65c with that big of a pre-flopraise? ahhh. I guess I can't get mad here and should chalk it to bad luck, based on how you guys evaluated it. Maybe he was trying to play implied value?I have seen hands posted by Gabe that are similar (not sure if the preflop raise he called was that high though) where he was playing implied odds to crack big PPs. I think it was a bad call though, as he was around 75 25 preflop...

I'm glad most everyone read it similarly to me, makes me feel a bit better...chalk it to rough variance.

Hand #2 I stupidly raised to $20 and was called. He flipped over King of spades. I thought I was value betting him, I know it's hard to do without a HH though. What if I had the K of spades? Any different? only hand then beating me woulda been the Ace of spades, or connecting spades for a RF.

Hand #3 I folded, and really wanted to call at the time...but against an unknown I just wasn't ready. I think it was either 6 7 or a set. I suppose lots of people just limp small PPs hoping for sets, but i usually raise to 3x, hoping my set hits with an ace also on the board... I just thought it was odd how quickly villian was raising all in, as you'd think they'd want value if they indeed had a set.
