Actual result: everyone folded.
Personal opinion: funny enough, this is really similar to another hand I posted on here recently where I went all in (it wasn't checked to me on the flop - that time there was a bet ahead of me). It turned out the bettor ahead of me had trips, but I hit the flush and won that hand. My thoughts on the hypothetical scenarios:
- A flat call - probably has the ace of diamonds and I don't want to see another diamond. Could possibly be a lower set or pocket pair, but that's a weird way to play it if so. If I don't see another diamond I'm happy and think I have the best hand. If I do see another diamond, I'm very nervous.
- A raise (i.e. a check-raise) - hard to tell; could be a set that is sort of repping the flush, or just ignoring the flush, and trying to get me out of the hand. Could even be an improbable flush like Ad Qd. I am not sure but I might have to fold to a hefty raise here.
- An all-in raise specifically tells me they probably don't have the flush, but do have a set - or maybe they're really overplaying the ace of diamonds. Hard to say.
