Check/calling is a LOT weaker than say, betting outright or check/raising. You lose a lot of fold equity when you check/call the turn and river. ok, it probably isn't, but it if were, do i want fe if opp has aq, kq, fd, or any other hand i beat. If i decide that i am going to pay it off, isn't better to let weaker hands bet into me than chase off all the hands i actually do beat?
