I think you need to look at how often you are going to the mat with TPTK and top 2. Judging by a lot of your other posts, it's way too often. You overvalue them.

that's for sure...although there's way more wrong with this hand than just overvaluing TPTK.

Reraise preflop with AK and this won't happen.

You can fold the turn against most players. The river ace rarely improves you here. Its possible you were calling down for a split but when that other A comes you have to give him credit for a set of Qs or an unlikely set of K's or A's.

So, in summary, I think you can drop this on the turn against some players, and on the river against most.

As previously said, I think your biggest mistake is not reraising preflop. After that you didn't play it horribly imo and your river call is normal considering what you've put in the pot and that you beat KQ now. But I'd be most worried about a set of 6s or qs. AA is dirty. So tough when his raising hands are relatively wide here. A re-raise and you know where you're at.

I just can't believe I called the WHOLE WAY DOWN. At the time, I couldn't think of any hands I was ahead of, but I kept on calling. Raising somewhere would help a lot, but even apart from that, the turn and river are clear folds. I have a self control problem.

I hear you about the self-control thing. Once you get a grip on this your profits will skyrocket. U already know this... but it's fun to have strangers remind u over and over

btw... sometimes when I feel like I'm losing it I find it helpful to imagine I was playing in front of all the other forum members I respect, as if they were evaluating every decision. Pretty lame advice, but maybe it could held when u feel like you're "losing it".

haha that's funny, because i've definitely noticed that when someone from ftr is at my table, i play MUCH better.
