Overbet the flop, then underbet the turn?

I guess that means a really weak bet or AI on the river?

I have no idea what he might have had.

Turn is a repeat bet. I read it as "are you really sure you don't want to fold?"

I put him on air. Maybe a worse pair. Maybe a draw (if he picked his hand pre-flop or even raised me I would be more inclined to think he hit this board.)

I dont think he hit. Turn bet would have been bigger if he had. Flop bet was to try and force a fold. I rekon he checked this behind on the river.

I like this play given the read, but I would raise the turn if I thought he had air. And I do think he has air. He will respect a turn check-raise more than a flop CR from a player with your image. Unless he doesn't read players.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

In my experience, that betting coming from a player you describe indicates a King with a weak kicker. I see a lot of that at $100NL. I would also consider second pair or possibly a flush draw. With a weak king he'll more than likely bet another $3 on the river. With anything less he checks behind.

Nuts, do you raise him on any street?

I'd put him on ace rag. Maybe A, maybe a suited A, (just) maybe A7. A 'really loose and horrible post-flop' player can't help but chase with an ace.

Oh hang on, he's the big blind. In that case I'd put him on nothing. He's trying to steal it on the flop and on the turn is just making sure you didn't click call by accident. I'd expect him to check the river.

He checked behind and showed 95 offsuit.

Gotta love the players who feel the need to try to steal even the emptiest of pots with nothing..

This was a problem for me when I first started playing. There might be $.50 in a pot after the flop and I would try to do anything in my power to get it.

Discipline is so hard to find these days.
