The flop/turn play is really bad FPS.

Try to get more money in before the river. They'll call, it's what they do...

    Welcome to the forums Triptanes,

when you post handhistories, you don't post to brag, but you post to see if you played the hand well. If you think you played well but aren't ready for the feedbacks, don't waste other people's time because this forum is for those that want feedback.

basically Fnord's suggestion says that they will call your big bets anyways with 2 pair, even a three of a kind, so you want to put the money in when you are the favorite. Checking the turn is a horrible play here since anyone with Q(Top pair) and a straight draw *AQ, KQ, 10Q* will get their free card to beat you with a higher straight, or even end up splitting the pot.

plus, if he had a set, you are giving him infinate odds to beat you (he has to call 0 to chase after his 33% shot at fullhouse on river), so why would you want that?

just remember to protect your vunerable hands, because in this situation, it's not that rare for someone to draw higher straight(4 out gut shot), 4 out fullhouse (2 pair) or a 10 out fullhouse (set) to take your stack.

I concur with fnord, and Allinlife, at least a good pot sized bet on the turn would have been better. But it did work out anyway.

Hrm, I was not bragging simply stating a fact. Yes I see he could have made a full house. He seemed very commited to his two pair so I would have to agree a pot sized bet would be in line. Just wanted to check to show weakness... In retrospect=a bad idea. Thank you for you comments.

what i will usually do here is just call the flop then check raise the turn hardd providing you still have the nuts, why check raise the flop then just check the turn, this is a horrible play in my opinion, you are lucky he was a retard and still bet the turn even after being check raised on flop. and then called an all in on river

another advantage of betting the flop is that they're more inclined to put on top pair, as opposed to a made straight or straight draw.

i'll go with maxx - bet the flop, C/R the turn, slam the river.
i hate what i have become to escape what i hated being...
