Default importance of non all-in hands?

I'm trying to figure out how best to improve my game and my winrate. Especially before moving up to stakes where the $$ may start to affect me

I'm realising more and more that hands that get allin before the river are about races, coolers, and dominating fish (or being the dominated fish ) Here are my results this year for hands that had all the action over before the river... I tend to get it in ok.

My question is: where should I focus my attention to improve my game?
    Thoughts?

two things stand out for me
    1) online poker probably isn't rigged, I'm running pretty damn close to EV - even when it sometimes feels that all the fish suck out on me, I conveniently forget the times that I hit my outs...
    2) that these hands are probably not where I need to focus my attention - Fnord alludes to this a lot when he talks of the importance of non-monster hands

The non all-in hands are important. Especially when you're NOT going all when beat!

Id think analysis of where you are losing money is more important.
theres a great post for PT2 that i can link you to for analysis of that but you'd have to play with the HM settings to get the same (unless someone already wrote it ofc)

Those are the hands that went allin and got called, so it's normal VPIP is that high. shouldn't it be 100% though?

For 6 max my blind results and W$WSF are pretty darn important to me.

I also keep an eye on suited connector + one gapper performance from 46s to J9s and A2s-A9s (filtered for VP$IP!!!!) since those hands play an important role in my over-all game plan.

Cold call vs 3-bet of non premiums.

    Button opens with non-premiums.

Stuff like that. Big pots handle themselves.

true, \I haven't looked at that post for a while. I'm keeping PT3 up to date with the hands I'm playing too, but the more I use HEM the less I imagine this is worthwhile....

What fnord said, especially that the big hands take care of themselves.

Also, a lot of the small-ball hands take care of themselves, as well. My biggest leak is probably dealing with small-ball hands (blind steals, 3-betting vs. blind steals) that get called down, where I play a medium-sized pot with/against huge ranges.

I feel comfortable in most 20 bb hands, and in most 80+ bb hands. But I lose my way in 50 bb hands. Those are the hands I filter for and look at.

    Good luck moving up, btw.

Not hitting the flop often enough? (particularly sets)
    C-betting too much?
    Opening too big?
Not counting all of the smaller pots you're taking down. You're going to lose a bigger pot when you get caught with your hand in the cookie-jar.

Oh, so that's what I was doing wrong. I must have been not trying to get better at everything.

I never thought of this but it makes sense.

true... i'll do my best not to forget this. But, I do like working on only one or two things at a time!

the first is something I already had to fix.
The second is something I need to think about.
The third is gold - say I semi-bluff to win ten 20bb pots, then lose a 40bb pot when i get called out. I'm ok with that.
