Default KK on 3 to flush board. Can I get away from this?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    CO ($5.25)
    Button ($6.80)
    SB ($4.20)
    BB ($10.35)
    UTG ($8.25)
    UTG+1 ($2.80)
    MP1 ($3.90)
    Hero ($10.90)
    MP3 ($8.55)

    Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K, K.
UTG raises to $0.2, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.8, MP3 calls $0.80, 4 folds, UTG calls $0.60.

    Flop: ($2.55) 8, 5, 9 (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $2.5, MP3 calls $2.50, UTG folds.

    Turn: ($7.55) 5 (2 players)
    Hero bets $7.6 (All-In), MP3 calls $5.25 (All-In).

    River: ($20.40) 8 (2 players, 2 all-in)

I figured him for the A of hearts. Do you play this differently?

You could raise a little more pre-flop, maybe make it $1 even.

I play it the same. Maybe slightly smaller bets on the flop and turn, but it's going all-in either way.

I think it's fine because of the size of his stack on the turn.

K, I agree I could've made it $1 pre flop to get only a single caller, but the AK would've called either way. Just wanted to make sure I was playing this alright.
