    Default KK laydown

Hey people ... new around here so I'm not sure if this should be posted here or in the beginners forum.

After some advice on this hand ... I think I made the right call to laydown the KK .... or was I too conservative?

    Thanks in advance.

Never read any stickies or announcements
You need to make real bets on the flop and turn...

Fair enough ... I was a bit cautious of the eights ... but with KK88 I wanted to test the water.

Yeah, like Lukie said, bet more. If 5xBB preflop raise was getting 3 callers regularly bump it up to 6-8xBB. On the flop bet around $.35-40, and if button still calls you, put him all in on the turn.

Yeah needs to be generally more aggressive.

More preflop then 2/3 pot, 1/2 pot. 1/2 pot.

    Then re-evaluate.

PF raise is fine. Be more aggresive post flop with over pairs. Bet the pot on the Flop (.40cents) and again on the turn (.60cents)....if there is still someone in the hand by the river then chances are he has you beat. So either check and call if he bets a reasonable bet (he bet .40 cents thats only half the pot, i would have called or raised that in a second.) or fold if he bets the pot or higher.

OR even better make a blocking bet on the river by betting 3/4 of the pot or so (.60 cents again) and hope he only calls u...if he raises then u can fold.
