I agree up until the river, although I might be betting a little less on the turn - ca. $2.20. I think pushing the river here gets you stacked a lot of the time.
What could villain have to be calling that turn bet? The board and pre-flop are not conducive to any draws and button's play is exactly smart 33 or 66 - maybe AJ if you're lucky.

It looks like villain has a naked jack, I like it. If you're beat, you probably would have known on the turn.

remember what level we are playing here. giving up on KK as an overpair on this river is leaving a lot of value on the table, imo.

personally, i dont quite bet as much, but that may be my own leak. i feel he's chasing something and missed. could have called and hit the spade draw, therefore, decided to continue. or had 45s. whatever the draw is...or the weak J, we have him beat. i want a call to my bet on this river, so, i make him an offer he cant refuse (unless i have a read that he calls off everything...then i pot it.). i like 1/2 pot river bets.

if he slowplayed two pair or a set....then he's a donkey and i'll get it back soon enough. note him as such, curse under your breath, and RELOAD!

but, i dont see that too often. you are likely good here, and any J may call...maybe even a stoooopid mid pair.

i dont like betting less on the flop or turn. at this level, you are going for a stack with this hand w/o a read on villain. price your bets accordingly. potting two streets was fine. however, when he clearly does not want to go away or play ball, i get a little gunshy...thats why the half pot river bet, and not a pot or push. obv, pushing gets you nothing here.

I agree, I don't think I'd ever check this river with exceptions of people I know like to bluff their missed draws and even then it's close because they're probably checking behind their made hands that are beaten.

This is fine IMO. Board is pretty dry - he probably has QJo or some shit.
