    Default Like it? Hate it?

The minraise from UTG didn't get much respect from me since he had done this at least 3 times in the last 10 hands or so.

    SB ($131.95)
    Hero ($151.13)
    UTG ($26.30)
    MP ($113.85)
    CO ($103.35)
    Button ($96.50)

Preflop: Hero is BB with T, T. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
UTG raises to $2, 4 folds, Hero calls $1.

    Flop: ($4.50) J, 4, 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $3, Hero raises to $10, UTG calls $7.

    Turn: ($24.50) 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $15, UTG calls and is all-In

Would he call your flop reraise w/o a J, 4, or overpair?

At least he couldn't de-stack you.

When he raised to 4xBB earlier from UTG a couple times, did you get to see what he did it with? I don't like getting heavy here against a UTG raise with TT, an over on the board and no read. This is a cash game.

    Hate it.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

The flop play is ok, but I'd probably check-fold the turn if he calls.

I sometimes have a problem slowing down after I've made an aggressive play also.

I have had a lot of trouble with this problem too. I know someone is likely to steal with anything if i bet the flop, then check the turn. I always find myself firing a second shell and getting called again.

That being said it's really unlikely villain is making this play with any four due to the pre flop action. His initial flop bet is standard continuation when in position if it's checked to him heads up...I like the flop raise, i would expect most cases that villain would fold here. A lot of times at lower limits where i play 25NL and 50NL, you will see this kind of stubborn play where he calls just because he knows you want him to fold to his c/r whether he has a hand or not.

On the turn only a better hand is calling from a non-fish. But a worse hand will steal a lot of the time if you check. How often are tens ahead here? You say you've seen villain minraise 3 times pre flop in the last 10 hands, has he shown any of them down? It's probably not QQ-AA, but his range probably includes a lot of hands with a Jack. QJ, KJ, AJ, all seem like reasonable posibilities if he's making min raises fairly often.

I probably check/fold or check/call if he bets weak. If he checks behind i lead out on the river if it's any card <10.

Some of the earlier hands he had minraised where trash, Ax, Kx etc

On the flop I was trying to pick off his continuation bet (its a pretty good flop for me) but I guess I should have slowed down after he called? When the turn came a rag I put him all in (less than a pot sized bet) since that card couldn't have really helped him.

    Results: he showed QQ

I stand by my play, I think it was a case of the right play at the wrong time.

I do find myself getting very aggressive against the short stacks...

Usually my queue is a call from villain when I make the play. Other than that it's just an exercise in emotional detachment. Meet my family and see why I do this well.
