Ah yes forgot the 8, silly me. That's 13 outs or 26%. Nah I wouldn't have gotten off here, because I'm expecting (from your read) that the other one will call too, making my relative pay 25% or so (3/12.50) - making it an easy call because of the implied odds (as you said they'll stick to their hands). That you won even though you missed is a surprise to me though.


EDIT: little clarification of my thinking maybe, your chance to hit your odds is more than your 'pay', so that seems to imply an auto-call.. however, unlike a flush draw, where if you hit you're almost certain to have the best hand, some of your outs here might be poisoned. If you hit 2 pair for example, you might lose to two higher pair and probably invest a lot to find this out. From experience, I like to keep these things in consideration too, hope that makes sense
