Just wondering what you guys think:
What do you put this guy on? AK? Trips 7s or 8s? He only called preflop, so it's probably not KK, but who knows. Then he check-raises on the flop. If he has top pair or trips, why would he give a free card with a straight and flush potential. I think he's playing off your continuation bet and trying to buy it. Not that you need to stay in the hand and find out, but just seems an odd play.
Would anyone consider calling and playing off the turn card?
And why the hell does it seem like when somebody just sits down, they feel obligated to raise up the first hand they play? Happens very often at this level.
Just some thoughts.
