    Default Need help

Recently I've been having problems getting paid off with my monsters (sets, overpairs...etc) However I have been paying off others when they have these hands. Any suggestions?

Hand histories would help. Maybe you are betting them too hard, causing any not-as-good hands to fold.

Actually I too have this problem fairly often and I think it's bet sizing and out-of-place aggression that leads to it. I'll follow this thread with interest.

(FYI I am 21/14 at 5max, agg factors of approx 2.5/3/3.5)

I think my bet sizing may be off too. I will post some hands.

if you are playing against semi-thinking opponents, the two go hand in hand. If I know I can get someone's stack in two orbits, then I will be more likely to wait for the better situation. why do I have to push this TPTK hard when you will stack off to my better hand later.

Stop paying off hands as much. try to get out 1 street earlier. look one to two streets ahead before doing anything. this will allow you to see the big pot coming and act before it's too late.

do you play your big hands the same as your bluffs/vulnerable hands? are your opponents picking up on differences? I for one don't 2 barrel very often (not enough I am sure), so I tend to check a lot of turns with some pretty good hands.

me too. i've found that making usual min to feeler bets (as if you do NOT have the monster) will cause a decent opponent to see what you want them to see. of course its all situational

Really the small bets may tip off a thinking opponent as they will wonder why you are betting so small.

Seriously. I've been running below expectation for nearly 100k hands. Sometimes you get fucked, and sometimes you get proper fucked.

Also, looking over the ballin 07 graphs on 2p2 every single 300k+ hand graph had a 150k breakeven stretch, while one 700k graph had a 250k breakeven.

Not only is playing 5k hands and getting no action standard, playing 50k hands and getting no action is standard.
