NL100 Rivered straight against LAGG, deep stacks

Villain is 52.4/10.6/4.40 over 170 hands. Solid, very aggressive postflop, usually always bets if it's checked to him or if he senses weakness. He sees me as a tight player and he probably thinks he can buy the pot if I miss the flop. I also think he doesn't put me on 54s.

I had really no idea what he was trying to accomplish with his push. He certainly knows I know he likes to bluff, but he also knows that I'm not calling him without a good hand when we're this deep and I've shown weakness by checking the turn.

um, you're not worried about the b/d flush here? Hard to put him on it but I'd sure feel stupid stacking off to it.

I don't believe in waiting for a better spot, if you think you have the best hand, take the value and call!

Nonetheless, you have absolutely no reason to think you have the best hand and our pot odds are not that great, due to him pushing so hard. He has told you everything you need to know. You said he is aggressive post flop, but that he usually only bluffs the pot. These players almost always push when they luck into it big. What else do you want? If there is no diamond I might think about calling. similarly if there is no better possible straight showing you are a little closer to calling, but in this spot, with everything he is trying to tell you. Fold.

That's the hand I'm most worried about. But how likely is that given the action? I really don't know, that's why I'm asking.

QFT. Massive overbet like that is usually the nuts (or close to it) hoping for a call. I'd say villain has a flush here 90%+ of the time.

There are a lot of players that count on you thinking that when they peel off a bluff.

In this case though, the strength is probably there and we don't have a good enough hand to find out if it isn't.

In his range Ad xd is definitly the most likely holding here. Thats why no reraise on the flop. He expects you to lead. I find alot of the more aggressive (3.5) slow down with made hands till the river. Most of there post flop aggression is missed flops or semi bluffs. He hopes you know he likes to bluff. that's why no tricks. He has the nuts and your supposed to call his "bluff"
