If Im the PFRer and its checked to me I am usually betting the flop. If somebody leads into me I typically will fold hands that completely missed or raise my hands that hit. If the board is incredibly unlikely to hit my opponent or they make a really weak bet then I will raise regardless of my holding. I think this is how a lot of people would play it as well, maybe even fold more than I do. So in this situation wouldnt checking be more profitable? You get a cbet out of hands that missed and hands that hit are typically going to call your raise as well.
