Default Nut Straight unto Unnut Flush

Once again, a Bodog HH, so forgive the non-prettiness of this...

    50NL, Hero's stack is around $50

Hero is dealt 86d in the hi-jack. UTG+1 minraises to $1. Hero calls. Button calls. SB calls. Pot=$4.50

    Flop comes 7d 9s 5d--UTG+1 bets $1. Hero raises to $3.50. Two folds. UTG+1 calls. Pot=$11.50

    Turn comes 2d. UTG+1 bets $3 Hero raises to $7.25. UTG+1 calls. Pot=$26

River comes 3s. UTG+1 bets 5. Hero calls.

Is this one of those, "the only hand that calls a raise beats you" type of hands, or did I lose value here?

If it was a blocking bet, he doesn't call a raise, right? This seems to fall within the "only get called by hands that beat you" category I was talking about.

I don't think you're only getting called by hands that beat you. It appears that this guy sucks, so he should call you with a lot of hands.

I think he calls you with a suprisingly wide range of hands if the bet isn't too big; raise it up too much and he'll probably fold.

I'd raise this to about $15-20...
