Results: villian showed As9s for the nut flush
I still have mixed feelings about the way this hand played out. I think TalentedTom hit it right on the nose. As soon as the hand was over that's exactly what I was thinking. I think I should have either reraised on the flop, or folded the river. The board shows 4 to a straight, and villian doesn't seem bothered. Looking back, it seems the only hand villian could have that I beat is a straight, which I think is very very unlikely, seeing as villian either chops the pot or loses to a flush (if he does have a straight).
Consider this hypothetical situation on the flop:
B_Rice56: Bet ($3)
spank63 : Fold
gopgap : Fold
fuzzybear11: Raise ($6)
B_Rice56: Raise ($20)
fuzzybear11: Call ($14)
How do you play the turn out of position now? Like this maybe?
*** TURN *** : [ Ts Qs 2s ] [ Ac ]
B_Rice56: Bet ($30)
fuzzybear11: Call ($30)
What about the river?
*** RIVER *** : [ Ts Qs 2s Ac ] [ Kc ]
B_Rice56: ???
On the river the pot is roughly $105 and villian has about $45 behind. Any bet obviously commits me to the pot, but if check and villian pushes, is this an instacall? Maybe bet less on the turn so that we're not so pot-stuck on the river? Thoughts?
