Putting this into PokerStove gives me about 33% equity on the turn here....is that enough to justify a call here with the button still to act, or is the laydown the right move in marginal situations like this?

Arent, trips or a straight, the most probable hands from villain? (a part from air of course), for those hands your equity is around 18%.

yeah i lay it down. Nl HE isnt as much about snall equity edges as FLH is. if you dont mind varience you can take them and profit. I personally, hate varience the son of a whore that it is, so i fold here.

Yeah, villain isn't very often betting that strong into 2 opponents without an 8.

With a player still to act behind we really need to fold here.

This guy wants to play for stacks, judging by how much he bet he probably has a heart too, I know I wouldn't make a lead out than big on the turn if I thought the flush draw had all his outs. Also, with $15 in the pot and facing a $14 call, the player behind you would have to call, and you'd have to stack at least one of them on the river, and even then you're still probably not getting the right implied odds to draw. Also, if the player you're behind (positionally) has 2 hearts, you're only drawing to 7 outs. If by some freak chance he happens to have exactly Th8h or 8h6h you're drawing to 5 outs. Easy fold.

Also, If either has 99 or 77 you've got at best 7 outs, against a flush draw and a set you've got 5 outs. Against an OESFD and a set you have 3 outs. How often is calling this bet ever going to be +EV?
