    Default overpair.. call the push?

    NL $10 Pacific

    on the button

2 limpers, I raise to 4 BB, 3 callers, the sb and the 2 limpers

    flop:

    sb checks
guy bets $0.40 pot currently $1.65
    a caller

    i raise to $1.50

    sb folds
    the initial raiser calls
    other folds

    pot now: $4.79

    turn:

    remaining opponent bets $8.78

    read:
has he caught set 3s.. no, because he would have had to call a raise on the flop with middle pair, and call a preflop raise with a 3 in his hand. So i'm prepared to risk that he didnt do that.

quad 3s.. who the hell pushes there with quads, there is no fear of anything,77 can beat you but only has 1 out to win. Its now heads up so push is going to drive out anything trying to draw and you want draws to hit and play strong. no quad 3s

so i think he has TPTK or an over pair, i can accept that A7 or any pp would call me preflop, 22, 77, 33, would slow down, JJ, QQ, KK, AA, would have raised preflop. so possible hands.. A7, 88, 99, flush draw. all of which i have beat.

or 10 10, giving split pot. he has $0.60 left in his stack after his extravigant bet, i reraise him All in.

    river is
    he turns over 88

    how was my play?
    villain goes AI
i call with a set (i have him owned)
    i win pot
villain: **** this, this site is bullshit, ******* rigged, suck out ****

Fine, other than assuming a fish would follow any of the correct and sensible tenets that led you to your decision. A3, especially suited, might call a pre-flop raise - these people are clueless and there's an ace, look!!

There are definitely a lot of bad players out there who could have the 3 here. But a lot of times it will be top pair or an overpair like 8s, 9s, maybe jacks.
