Nope. This isn't another bad beat history post(unless you count the guy I handed it to...).

    azimuth_gust bets $14.65, collects $28.45, net $13.8

As a side note, this gadjett person wound up losing all their money. A combination of poor betting (getting outdrawn by a winning flush hand), and poor hands (Q2o).

Raising pre-flop here is just costing you money.

This was a table where a pre-flop raise folded limpers.
Oh well. Can't please everyone, I guess.

    Nevermind, good raise then.

It's good that you won money here, but I don't think getting called down by someone who flops top pair is such a great play. I have to agree with Fnord that a raise pre-flop is the wrong play. While perhaps folding out limpers, wouldn't it be better to catch your trips and hope the limpers catch two pair, a pair, or a good draw and fatten up the pot?
"Why does this still seem like gambling to you!?"

It depends on the odds her raise takes down the pot pre-flop or on a flop bluff. Either one would be a nice win for 44. With such small stakes, neither happens often enough, hence I'd rather limp and hope someone catches second best like davfagan said. Players at this level are too often willing to put their entire stack in the center in an unraised pot with top pair suspect kicker. However, the table might be playing weird enough, or the raise might set-up a future play giving the raise merit. Although if they're calling with JQo....

Oh, and more thing, try to keep your stack topped off. Your short stack hurt your pre-flop implied odds here....
