Playing 88 oop ($25nl)

I'm trying to be more aggressive. Is the c/r on the flop ok? Should I bet out or c/c? or fold? On the turn should I be betting out to rep the flush or just to continue to show strength? My line ends up very weak indeed, the opposite of what I wanted! Villain was very loose and raised a lot pf but only over 30 or so hands. I think I should have bet the turn... On the river I've acted weak after the flop so why is he betting full pot? Does this tend towards being a bluff? Thanks all

I don't mind the c/r on the flop after the limp call preflop, but I think that's your one shot at the pot. I shut it down once villain calls the flop raise just like you did. I c/fold the turn/river, you aren't exactly ahead of many hands.
On another note, have you thought about raising PP's from under the gun? I found once I started doing that, I had alot more opportunities to win pots with cbets and my sets started getting paid off more often.

I agree with Trashcona. Your Cbet gets respected more if you showed strength PF. I personally usually play smallish PP as a "fit or fold" against a table full of unknowns. But if the table is known weak the PFR with small PP followed by a cbet if you whiff the flop is really productive.

That's an interesting thought. I've noticed utg raises get a lot of respect. Currently with a pp I usually limp in early position, raise if folded to in mp and lp or limp behind limpers. In lp with a lot of limpers I sometimes min-raise to juice the pot although people here shout at me I've been getting a lot of pp's lately but havn't hit any sets at all so maybe I'll try raising more.

In this hand I posted I had actually been running over villain a bit. I c/r his flop bet just a few hands previously and he folded. I think the chance he will bluff is increased maybe 30% because he's pissed at me. Does that change how you would play?
