    Default Playing a straight draw

Did I do the right thing betting here? Or should I just be check-calling and playing defensively until my flush is complete?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (9 handed) converter

    UTG+1 ($2.47)
    MP1 ($2.68)
    MP2 ($4.09)
    MP3 ($1.69)
    CO ($2.45)
    Button ($3.14)
    SB ($4.88)
    Hero ($1.46)
    UTG ($2.47)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q, 6.
    UTG calls $0.02, 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.02, MP2 calls $0.02, 2 folds, Button calls $0.02, 1 fold, Hero checks.

    Flop: ($0.11) 4, 8, A (5 players)
    Hero bets $0.1, UTG folds, MP1 calls $0.10, MP2 calls $0.10, Button calls $0.10.

    Turn: ($0.51) 7 (4 players)
    Hero bets $0.16, MP1 folds, MP2 calls $0.16, Button calls $0.16.

    River: ($0.99) 6 (3 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets $0.88, Button calls $0.88, Hero folds.

    Final Pot: $2.75

    Results in white below:
MP2 has As 5h (straight, eight high).
Button has Ac 6h (two pair, aces and sixes).
    Outcome: MP2 wins $2.75.

    himself fucker.
I like it, juiced the pot with your flush draw and gave yourself 2 chances to win. Repping the ace and hitting the flush.

    Well played.

This is also often a good move because it disguises your actual hand. You're repping a made hand... if you hit the flush, you can check it and then raise the first aggressor into the pot (who ironically is usually repping that HE has the flush, which he probably doesn't).

Default I can see the argument for the flop bet

It represents the ace and still keeps your draw relatively inexpensive. However your turn bet is a little strange. .16 into that pot is weak. I think you have 2 choices here. You either need to check and call depending on the size of the bet, or you need to come out very strong with a pot sized bet. A pot sized bet on the turn would have made the crap kicker run, and the straight draw run as well. Even if one of them stays, you still have a chance to make your hand on the river.
