Could I have folded when he came alive on the river? I know, I know fold preflop.

I appreciate any insight you NL ring gamers can give me. Peace
I'll be a rootin' tootin' shootin' damn fool, protectin' my chips.

    hand #1:

you have 4 to the flop and a caller on the flop. when the scare card hits the turn ESPECIALLY against a shortstack you can check/fold it. you have no redraws against a flush and youre basically SOL there. by betting 6/7 his stack youre telling him youll double him up while giving him no chance to let you know youre behind. at 25nl this is just a time to swallow your pride and move on.

    hand #2:

worked out well for you, but i dont play AQo utg. i dont like raising nor do i like calling with it.

    hand #3:

i like it. if youre playing it as if HU you might as well bet the turn and check the river though...instead of giving him the free card. i like the way you played it regardless though.

    hand #4:

fold preflop, not worth it. you have 1 caller before you in addition to the blinds, you need a few more before you can limp behind here.

    hand #5:

why are you raising preflop? sets are much more profitable in multiway pots rather than hu.

    hand #6:

i like it, but id make your continuation bets a bit larger. youre betting close to 1/4 pot on the flop.

    hand #7:

check/fold that flop all day long. your preflop limp is to hit a set or a rag flop only. no point in limping and repping a good ace...

    hand #8:

i like all streets. the ace on the river has to scare you, but by betting it you provide a blocking bet. i like it.

    hand #9:

    standard.

    hand #10:

raise/fold preflop, calling is gay. you have position and want to come in...so raise it up. im surprised you flat called the river. im willing to go AI with this hand.
  3. #3
    1. Well, with two hands in and a straight/flush board you are pretty much dead if anyone sees the river. You can try a BIG bet on that flop and hope to push both of them off the hand but if they see more cards, give it right up.

    2. AQ is not a raising hand for me UTG, but otherwise played fine

    3. you played fine. Maybe bet .50 on the turn - could go either way

    4. looks like another drawing hand - this time you're in position

    5. Why raise that? I would've folded to the reraise - you are not getting odds to play that through

    6. this guy loves to draw so you are making him pay - if I find someone like this I usually step up the betting just a tad - they usually will call it

    7. check/fold the flop

    8. looks like he's trying to improve again - if he ever raises, fold

    9. Bet more on the turn - go to $6 there, this will allow you to bet the river harder still

    10. fold PF, two guys ahead of you

Hand 1) Online poker is not rigged. The turn brings a tough decision though. There were 4 players to the flop, and 3 to the turn after your fairly large flop bet. I think this is a situation where you have to check/fold or check/call to small bets.

Hand 2) AQ is usually the worst hand I'll raise UTG in a full ring game. There was 1 caller to your preflop raise, throw out a continuation bet on the flop. Checking the flop and betting small on the turn worked here, but it usually won't.

Hand 3) I'd play this similar to heads up, keep in mind though there were 8 folds in front of you, meaning there is probably a slightly higher then normal chance your opponent has high cards, and he has position on you. I think I'd bet the turn as well.

    Hand 4) Fold preflop.

Hand 5) Limp preflop with 44 and call any 'normal' preflop raise. Play for the set and look to get out of the hand if it doesn't hit.

    Hand 6) Fold preflop.

Hand 7) 5 way action on the flop with 2 overcards to your TT. Check/fold here.

Hand 8) I would bet the flop with an overpair here. The board is 338, 2 suited with one opponent. TT is usually the best hand here.

Hand 9) Well played. Obviously you have to be aware of the 3-suited flop and someone slowplaying a made flush. I think its pretty clear that ACEOFSPADES was holding Qh.

Hand 10) Fold preflop. It's hard to play LAgg when limping in to a 4 way flop. Regaurdless, you flopped trips with your 94o and you have to play it agressively. Get the 66 type hands out.

Yep. So would you just go into check/fold after they both called my flop bet?

Yeah, I see your point. Not enough people in to make this hand worth much $ long term.

    Yep. Dumb.

Yeah, I'm still figuring out what size bets people will call with weaker hands. I just hate being called down to the river just to find that I was beat the whole time.

Yes. I realized this afterward. "Lagg it up" and limp? I forgot the "agg" in lagg means aggressive. Derrrr.

Very good point. I couldn't get it HU because I didn't know how much to raise being the very 1st hand. Gotta take it down on the flop or let it go.

    Agreet. Oops.

I think you're right. I could've probably made more $ off of him. He ended up quadding up by calling a flop allin with something like 78s and destacking his opps by rivering his flush.

Much better line here. I could've built it up there and really made some money. I was pretty surprised that he called my river bet without a set or better.

Agreet. Tried to blindly bowl 'em over and got bit.

Yeah, that's my normal way to play small pps but - ?????

I don't really agree here. I'm in the CO with folds behind, and with a 3xbb PFR I'm pretty sure I'm going to take down the blinds or only get called by Ax or a loose player with a worse hand. It did work out perfectly in this situation I admit, but it seems like this hand would be easy to get away from if I don't hit.

I know. Weak/dumb. I forgot the meaning of Lagg when I posted this

TYVM for the replies guys. When I’m playing NL cash games I’m a lot more nervous/conservative/unsure than I am when I’ve got $5-10 on the line in tourney play. I really appreciate you taking the time to analyze my plays here. Peace.
I'll be a rootin' tootin' shootin' damn fool, protectin' my chips.

You are OTB holding KTo with an early position limper. Reads definately help here. The limper likely has a small PP or a marginal hand that has you dominated, ie. KJ, KQ, AT, etc. I personally fold here, but you have position and if you are confident in your post-flop skills, I don't necessarily think a raise is a bad play here.
