Normally I would just smile because I agree with Fnord, and move on.
However, the quality of Hand histories in this forum is absolutely deteriorating, and the above is completely unacceptable.
We have a great converter tool for those players that play on Party/Stars which is the majority of players on this forum. Use it.
For hand histories like the above, at least proof read it to see if it is readable, (which this one is not.) and preferably fix it so that it is close to the format of the converted hand histories.
The Sticky at the top of this forum outlines the guidelines, but lately these "good" posts have been the exception as opposed to the rule.
Secondly I understand that Fnord gave up on his little peeve about not mentioning table texture and reads on your opponents, but I think that for it to be completely disregarded perpetuates mediocrity. I do not believe that any player will survive above the 400NL level without paying attention to the hablits of other players at the table. The idea that it is unimportant in lower stakes games is ridiculous, whether you can manage a meager profit without it or not.
Big bet poker is not about camping out for big hands and memorizing how to play QQ from EP. There is so much about the game that is completely missed in both the Hand Histories and the replies, and instead of players getting better, and understanding these concepts, they are forgetting the ideas that are the backbone to winning at NLHE.
We now have players who are crying that they can't make any money against players who are "camping", because their big hands don't get paid off, while I am averaging 20ptBBs/100hands taking advantage of these multi-table rocks.
If your profit comes from playing only the "top ten" hands in 25NL, and you are comfortable never moving past that, fine. I won't fault you.
If you think that concept, though profitable, has ANYTHING to do with what "POKER" IS, You will be sorely dissapointed when your bankroll leaks away to players who see how you are playing, while you just hope that you will get a big hand and have it paid off.
In conclusion, Poker is a complicated game, with many intricacies. The lack of attention to detail in regards to not only play, but the completeness of hand history posts seems to be resulting in the degradation of this forum as a whole.
Pay attention, you owe it not only to the people reading your posts, but you owe it to yourself.
