Default pwned twice by the same guy

I didn't get crap for hands for like an hour at this table. So, I played some sooteds. I remember reading all the flush over flush posts and everyone saying how it's rare. I thought it was a possibility, but there was a straight draw too.

Should I be scared here? I mean, he's calling me down without reraising at all (which you think he would at some point).

Why do you play suited connectors????? To hit a str8 or a flush, two pair is ok but with two over cards and this guy pusgin into you its not ok.

Second hand I say you played right that stuff just happens.

These look rather standard to me.

Postflop you played fine on both. Preflop you fell victim to the "I'm not getting cards so I'll play worse ones" type scenerio. These hands are not worth playing at this limit. I know you may have heard you should play these kinds of speculative hands sometimes, but you just shouldn't do it at this level. You get payed off far too often with premiums at 25NL to go to war with these trash rags. It's like a gift. The burden of mixing it up this way is reserved for a later date. Have fun making money on ONLY good hands until then. Don't give your 25NL opponents that much credit for thinking.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Aren't you one of the biggest supporters of suited cons in late position? I know what you are saying about the limit but I can't sit there and just wait for AA and expect to get paid off. Even the fish realize you haven't played a hand in several orbits, so when you raise preflop they don't call your AA/KK. That's the state of things. So at least if I can see some more flops and show them I'm not only playing premiums, I increase my chances of action when I want it.

Yes, but I play 100-200NL, and I Raise them. There's a bigger benefit to creating a bad image.

I would always find bad players at 25NL that didn't know well enough to avoid the camper. If it's rocky, then LAG a little I guess. I'd be more inclined to find a better table.

Suited connectors and such are good for draining stupid players who can't release top pair, but it's a double edged sword. I just feel you get too much action from playing good cards at the right tables and paying the pot when you hit the flop hard. Ideally, you can increase your profits by playing these hands and draining an opponent at the right time, but you'll have to expect weird shit to happen. There will be tough laydowns to make. You're making it harder for yourself at a limit where it doesn't seem necessary.

Points taken. Thanks. I'm finding that lately even the looser players shy away from calling preflop raises when I'm idle too long. I always switch tables when it tightens up unless I still see profit there.
