Default QQ on Button vs. UTG Shorty PFR w/ 3 Callers

    $25NL - 10 Handed

Villain is UTG with ~ $11
Hero is on Button with ~ $25
    Others have ~$25

    Hero has QQ

    Villain raises to $1
    UTG1, UTG2, and MP fold
    MP1 calls
    MP2 calls
    CO calls
    Hero goes All-In

Is this standard for anyone else? I'm not posting cuz I took a brutal "beat" or something - just curious as to how others play it.

with maybe AK i do this but you have a made hand so I'd raise it to like 5.

I found many people would call a reraise to like $7-9 (pot sized would be to $7, but may as well overbet at 25nl) with worse then QQ, and fold the flop or call if it looks like 77 unimproved is good against AK. Also, if you raise to say 9, then the shorty pushes, and someone calls, you can then push.

i like this alot. shorty would almost have to push pre-flop if he's willing to call $9 thus giving others a chance to put in more dead money. nice.

If you raise to 9 and UTG pushes for $2 more then you can't reraise (at most sites, at least) since he didn't make a full sized reraise. If others call his push you're stuck in a potentially huge, multiway pot with a very vulnerable hand.

I like a raise to 5$. If shortie pushes now, we can push over. If he just calls and the flop goes multiway we have enough chips in relation to the pot size to make some plays or lay down if the flop is a bad one. Position post flop is a huge advantage in this case since shortie is almost definitely going to push any flop, and thus we have information on how the others are going to react.

    $5 gets it done.

You have the button, so wouldn't mind playing a flop. The raise will get a couple of them out and the others will try to crack your Aces.
