I know he can call and see a flop and see what he does but does he expect anything here but a push? Or did you miss that part of my post?
just because he called w/o odds for a set doesn't automatically mean calling the flop is +EV.
then the preflop call is -ev which is where the fold should be. i realize that he has to play this now that he called pf and I already gave my opinion that he should call because I think it's +ev at the $25. just what i think.
