I figured him for either overcards or a lower PP than me, as for SSG, I really don't know what hand would play that way. you would have to figure a high PP would reraise looking to get it all in pf, a low pocket pair should dump it with the original raiser still to act, and AK kinda makes sense, although not really at all, so I am baffled by him, but am not really afraid of him having much. anyways, what do you think of the play and why?? thanks

    2 ways to play

    1) as you did, but why not push the flop? Why leave $$ behind?

    or

    2) With no reads (especially knowing how rocky the initial raiser is) I call and see a flop. Pot is smaller and your raises for info will mean more. If he's willing to raise 5xBB from middle position with a limper, chances are he has a good hand. This gives you more leverage to buy, or get away from the hand.

one note, on the flop I pushed both opps all in as I had them covered.
if I just call and the same people are in on the flop, how do I play the flop? it looks good for my QQ, but I dont really know what the original raiser could have. I would assume I raise his bet, but what if he checks, does this set off alarm bells or does it mean AK/AQ or 88-TT??
if I just call and one or both of the blinds come along, do I have to muck it to any aggression from them, especially if its called by the original raiser?

I tend to have real problems playing QQ in cash games. in a tournament I know exactly what to do with them, but here, it's more troublesome.

If you push the flop you only get called by a better hand.

not at most of the tables i play. i got called by a K9 on a K high flop after I raised pf. it happens. especially with any kind of a draw out there. besides, i think i want AK to fold right now. nice enough pot.
