I like the flop raise. Turn I don't mind the check behind and don't mind a second barrel. Might weight them 60/40 against an unknown. But if you check behind, what are you repping with the river bet? Would you raise the flop with Ax? Maybe A8s, or AhKh, but that's about it. I know the river seems like a clear bet facing his passive line and I probably play it the same, but I'm not sure it's right. What are you trying to fold? A heart draw, no pair is about it I think, because your line doesn't make sense as a hand that beats even middle pair.

Why aren't you pushing the turn?

For me, this looks like a good spot to fire again on the turn, with about 80$. If I bluff the river I'm all in because you will probably get looked up too much otherwise because of your weird turn check coupled with the likelihood of his holding Ax of hearts.
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

i checked the turn because of my sweet draw and because i thought there was a significant chance that he was slowplaying something on the flop. Obviously I knew my suspicions were wrong once he checked the river, and i put him on a busted draw and bet. He folded.

I agree. The turn check made it obvious that you were drawing. I think you have to bet the turn in order to represent a strong hand (set or 86). A thinking opponent might call your bluff with Ax hearts (busted flush draw, overcard paired up).

Here is a hand that I played a couple weeks ago -- awfully similar to yours. Except that I bet the turn. But the result was the same -- opponent folded to the river bluff.
