I am 99% sure villian has A's or K's, but should I still push this flop instead of just calling?

Also, is there ever a situation where you should check a set on the flop? I honestly can't think of one.

Yeah, I'd play back at him here. A lot of turn cards will make it difficult to get the rest of the money in against.

My sets get ruined more by scare cards on the turn than I can count. You want all the money in with top set. Huge draws out there. Push. Anyone that reraises 3X on this flop wants it all-in. Instead you put him all in with even a more dangerous drawing board. The only hand that's ahead after the flop is 5 2, not likely.

When a player is aggressive and looks like he's ready to stick his money in willingly. I like to play on the FU Factor that makes bad aggro players stick all their chips in like a schoolyard bully when you check-raise them. I mostly do it when they have position on me and I want to put a chill on their aggressiveness, by putting the fear of a check-raise in their minds for future reference.

Yep, Warpe, I find that if you just min. check raise them with a set, it's like a worm floating right by on a hook, they just snap at it with anger and glee all rolled up into one large stack. Start counting the chips.

bet and threebet all in on the flop is the standard set line for this scenario

If they've been making life difficult with not much postflop, often I find they start calling where they used to raise and checking where they used to bet, so when they do bet and reraise you can be pretty sure they have a real hand. Just my 2c.
