Default Set on a scary board, where would you go?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    MP2 ($13.85)
    CO ($27.40)
    Button ($16.40)
    Hero ($53.55)
    BB ($14.80)
    UTG ($43.55)
    MP1 ($24.80)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 6, 6.
UTG calls $0.25, MP1 calls $0.25, 1 fold, CO calls $0.25, 1 fold, Hero completes, BB checks.

    Flop: ($1.25) 6, 8, T (5 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG bets $3.25, MP1 folds, CO folds, Hero raises to $6.5, BB folds, UTG calls $3.25.

    Turn: ($14.25) 9 (2 players)
    Hero checks, UTG checks.

    River: ($14.25) 5 (2 players)
    Hero checks, UTG checks.

    Final Pot: $14.25

Only played 15 hands at the table, he was in only 3 hands so far, not much of a read on him. Looking back on it, im thinking i should have pushed on the turn and river, but how much?

On the pot UTG makes a big overbet after you check and then you minraise. Typically I would lead this flop, and make a larger raise probably closer to $10. I dont really like that turn card, but Im not sure at all how Id play that, probably bet out again and see how villain reacts. As played Id bet the river for value, the 5 doesnt make the board any scarier and couldnt have helped.

I check raise the flop to 10, or check/push depending on reads.
