Depends. How is your image at the table? If you are considered AGG or have taken down a number of pots without showing down then yes bet this up front. If you are seen as Tight, players will likely fold to your bet fearing the A. If your image is tight, slow play it.
I suspect, the only callers you will get on a board like this are the A, K, possibly spade draw. If none are out you aren't getting any one to play back at you on the turn either.
You played it correctly. It was just a bad flop for your hand if nobody held an Ace. Only other option is to bet $.25-.50 and hope someone smells weakness and re-raises you.

P.S. The guy with position on you, Toluschev, he's VERY tight. He is playing like 5-7 tables, so you can raise him out of his blind all day, but if he plays back at you, run for cover.
Also A-10Warthog is pretty tight solid too.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

In this spot I bet 60-70¢. I charge the draws an incorrect price, while letting an ace behind me feel confident enough to hang around or raise.

What you should do in your own mind is think about the possible hands that would be around you, and how they would react to certain action. This is a limping pot. Think of ranges. Ok, what if someone has A3? What are they going to do if you bet heavy on that flop? They may fold (feeling they're outkicked) for $1.20, and hang around for 60-70¢. What would someone with QJ do? Same thing. They may fold for $1.20, and hang around for 60-70¢, because they're loose bitches who like chasing guts. How would a flush draw react? Same thing. They may fold for $1.20, and hang around for 60-70¢, even though it's incorrect to do so without multiple callers. A lot of the time they may call $1.20 too, but you don't bet that because of the other hand possibiities that won't pay that much, yet would pay 60-70¢.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Excellent analysis. Seems like most the time I hit a set on the flop there are two suited or two connected. I think slowplay, but then end up putting out 3/4 or full pot and win a tiny pot. You just have to get ready to lay it down if the board gets worse and you meet aggression.

Whever I lead without the pre-flop initative I always go potty.

Granted, I bet a *wide* range here.
