What you should do in your own mind is think about the possible hands that would be around you, and how they would react to certain action. This is a limping pot. Think of ranges. Ok, what if someone has A3? What are they going to do if you bet heavy on that flop? They may fold (feeling they're outkicked) for $1.20, and hang around for 60-70¢. What would someone with QJ do? Same thing. They may fold for $1.20, and hang around for 60-70¢, because they're loose bitches who like chasing guts. How would a flush draw react? Same thing. They may fold for $1.20, and hang around for 60-70¢, even though it's incorrect to do so without multiple callers. A lot of the time they may call $1.20 too, but you don't bet that because of the other hand possibiities that won't pay that much, yet would pay 60-70¢.
Excellent analysis. Seems like most the time I hit a set on the flop there are two suited or two connected. I think slowplay, but then end up putting out 3/4 or full pot and win a tiny pot. You just have to get ready to lay it down if the board gets worse and you meet aggression.
